Over the years I have built up my Thank You Notes stationary supply for my classroom. Stationary is one thing that I like to stock up on every year because you never know when you might need to write a thoughtful note to someone.
Mail Teacher Thank You Notes Home
I write my thank you notes for any gifts that I am given and then mail them out. This way I know that a parent is more likely to actually see the thank you card.
There have been many times when I put a thank you note on the student’s desk that I have then seen the student open the note, read it and throw it out. Since the parents are typically the ones that are generously spending the money, I don’t mind taking the extra few minutes to write out a card and drop it in the mail.
Organizing Teacher Thank You Notes and Stationary Supplies

I keep my teacher thank you notes and other stationary supplies in a sterilite basket in a cabinet in my classroom. This is where I keep some of my other personal items like dental floss, toothbrush & toothpaste and deodorant. These items are out of sight by the students, but easily available when I need them.
FYI: I only endorse things that I've personally used or have come highly recommended from my teacher friends and family and think they may be helpful to you. If you buy anything mentioned using my Amazon referral links, I may get a small commission at no extra cost to you.
My stationary bin includes blank thank you notes, birthday, get well and sympathy cards. In addition to the boxes of these cards I also keep a book of stamps in the front of the bin so that when needed, I can put a card in the mail immediately without having to make an extra stop for stamps.
I keep two types of thank you cards in my stationary basket- blank holiday than you cards and regular thank you cards. I like to send the blank holiday ones out for any Christmas or Winter Break gifts that I may be given.
Snoopy Winter Blank Card– I love this blank, winter themed card. Snoopy sledding is such a cute picture that is seasonal without being specifically Christmassy. I also think it’s fun to send a card with a well known character like Mickey Mouse, Peanuts or any other easily identifiable figure. There is an elementary sweetness to these cards that make me happy to write them. I try to be thoughtful that not all of my students celebrate Christmas and don’t want to send a specifically Christmas themed thank yo card, which is why I like the winter themed blank stationary cards.
Box of Thank You Notes– I like to stock up on these at the beginning of the year because there are quite a few times throughout the year when I am given a little token of appreciation or a gift card.
Sympathy & Get Well Cards– I like these Peanut themed cards whenever I need to send Sympathy and Get Well Cards. Unfortunately there are many staff members who have surgery or have a close family member pass away. It helps to have a card ready to go whenever I receive some type of sad news, I can grab a card and send a thoughtful kind note.
